RP on TB!?

Post by Solnath on Thu Jan 22, 2009 8:28 pm

So, are we going to RP here or what? You know my situation, ORPG is a no-go, PbP is good, especially if dialogue is done via MSN.

(Exclamation and question mark added to title because a topic title must be at least ten characters long.)

You bet your ass. I'm working on two awesome settings, one free form, and one D&D 3.5 ed., so I'm going to need new players soon. Either way, be it within these two settings or not, I'm prepared for a proppa campaign.

Meanwhile, you should be arranging your roleplaying friends on the forum. The same goes for Tshern.

Whenever I get a chance. I want to be a bit picky about who I let in here to avoid separating the future community. It'd be just plain stupid to have three separate factions hanging around.

Also, I have heard of these campaigns before.

Is one of them exploration-related?

How would an IRC channel work?

Depends on the server, all of the servers I've tried have worked at one point or another.

Hi Solnath, I am the first to admit OpenRPG is a complete pain in the ass most of the time, but I'm not familiar with your individual reason for not being able to use it.

I've also been keeping an eye on Gametable and Maptools. Features wise, both have Open beat. The only thing they are lacking is a metaserver architecture, the nifty thingie that allows us to meet in a "lobby" and make our own "rooms."

Double-posting in order to inflate my e-phallus. I'm interested in DMing a freeform campaign where the story begins with the players being brought to the new maximum security prison that's been built right in the middle of Beverly Hills. Strangely enough, this isn't the only such prison built in a wealthy area around the country and the world in recent times and as if that wasn't bizarre enough, the people living nearby seem to support the idea of having all the worst criminals next to them.

Also, it doesn't matter whether or not the PCs have committed serious crimes; they've all been perfectly framed. The main question is, why?

Sounds awesome Sol. Anything that comes out of you must be at least supernatural.
